Emergency Humanitarian Program

The humanitarian emergency department at MA'AN Development Center initiative its efforts during each catastrophic event in the Gaza Strip. In 2008, 2012, 2014 and now since 2023 due to the Gaza Strip facing attacks by the Israeli occupation, MA'AN Center utilizes its partnerships and efforts to support internally displaced Palestinians, the most vulnerable and poor, and those who lost their livelihoods. Currently, MA'AN Center provides humanitarian support through various modalities, such as providing clean water, personal hygiene kits, winterization kits, and family kits to support Palestinians with basic needs of life.

Two key initiatives MA'AN Center implements within the Humanitarian Program:

 Providing Non-Food Items (NFIs):

MA'AN Center distributes NFIs to meet the needs of forcibility displaced individuals and households to conduct the basics of their daily lives (eat, drink, sleep, cook, wash and store belongings) to maintain a minimum standard of living. Community initiatives MA'AN Center conducts includes providing winterization clothes and personal hygiene kits.

 Food Items:

MA'AN Center distributes both non-perishable food items and hot meals for displaced individuals and households to address food insecurity, malnutrition and hunger.
