MA’AN Development Center, funded by UNICEF, launches comprehensive awareness & sanitation campaigns at Fahmi al‑Jarjawi shelter in Gaza as part of the emergency WASH response
MA’AN Development Center, funded by UNICEF, implemented a series of
#awareness-raising activities and public
#sanitation initiatives at the Fahmi al-Jarjawi shelter in
#Gaza.
These efforts aimed to protect the health of displaced persons and improve
#environmental conditions within the shelter. They included:
• Conducting educational workshops for men, women, and children on the importance of personal hygiene and water safety.
• Launching a water tank cleaning initiative: washing and disinfecting tanks, installing lids to prevent contamination, and distributing chlorine tablets for routine
#disinfection.
• Providing daily cleaning services throughout the shelter to ensure a healthy and
#safe environment.
These initiatives are part of MA’AN’s
#humanitarian response to strengthen water, sanitation, and hygiene services and reduce health risks amid the emergency situation in Gaza.
